On 17 May 2024 AIA Labs invited artists who work with AI to collaborate with its Artificial Intelligence Art Lab, a creative community built around one cause: protecting teenage girls from image-based abuse and digital extortion.
Artists were invited to connect with like-minded people who are passionate about using AI for social good, and to take part in campaigns that give their work a wider audience. The message was simple: create, inspire, and protect, together.
Several artists answered the call, and the idea lived on as Philotimo, the AI-for-good initiative that AIA Labs leads today. It grew out of AFR?D!, research on protecting young people from online blackmail.
